What is health coaching?
Health coaching is a client-led, evidence-based process that helps individuals make lasting changes in their health and wellness. Through one-on-one and group coaching sessions, I work with clients to identify their wellness goals, create personalized action plans, and provide ongoing support and accountability to help them achieve those goals. Health coaching focuses on the whole person—body, mind, and soul—and integrates nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset strategies.

What happens at my initial session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, establish our coaching relationship, and explore your health history, challenges, and wellness goals. I’ll guide you through a wellness intake assessment to better understand your current habits and mindset. Together, we’ll create a personalized wellness action plan, with you taking the lead in choosing the action items and steps that feel right for you. This session typically lasts 90 minutes. Afterward, you'll receive a recap email, including key takeaways and any resources you’ve requested.

How long do your coaching programs last?
I offer a variety of coaching programs to meet your unique needs and wellness goals: One-Time Sessions, Quick Start 4 or 6-Week Programs, 3-Month Programs and 6-Month Programs.
All coaching programs begin with a complimentary discovery call to ensure we’re a good fit. During the call, we’ll discuss your challenges, needs, and wellness goals, and I’ll help you choose the program that best aligns with your journey.

Do I need to follow a specific diet?
My coaching is client-led, meaning you’ll decide what works best for your lifestyle. While I offer non-medical nutrition guidance, I do not provide therapeutic meal plans or specialized diets. Instead, I help you make small, sustainable changes to improve your eating habits and overall wellness. My goal is to support you in finding what works best for you, not to impose a specific diet.

Do you provide medical advice or prescribe supplements?
No, as a health coach, I do not provide medical advice or prescribe supplements. My role is to guide and support you in making healthier lifestyle choices, but I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you are under the care of a physician for any medical condition, I recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting health coaching, and sharing your interest in working with a health coach to ensure a coordinated approach to your care.

Can I work with you if I'm seeing a doctor or other health professional?
Yes, absolutely! Health coaches often have clients who are already under the care of doctors, nutritionists, or other healthcare providers. My role is to offer additional support in areas such as stress management, lifestyle changes, and nutrition—complementing the care you’re already receiving. If you’re under a physician’s care for any medical condition, I recommend consulting with your healthcare provider and letting them know you’re interested in working with a health coach, to ensure a coordinated approach to your wellness.

How is health coaching different from therapy or counseling?
Health coaching is focused on helping you set and achieve wellness goals, make behavior changes, and improve your overall lifestyle. Unlike therapy or counseling, which often address emotional or mental health issues, health coaching is centered around creating practical, actionable strategies for managing challenges like stress, nutrition, and building healthy habits. I do not provide therapy or counseling services, but I work with you to address current wellness challenges. If you’re seeking mental health support, I recommend consulting a licensed therapist or your healthcare provider for specialized care.

Are sessions virtual or in-person?
Unless otherwise specified in the program details or coaching agreement, all sessions are held virtually through videoconference via Healthie, our secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows us to work together no matter where you're located, making it easy and convenient for you to prioritize your wellness.

Getting started is easy! Simply schedule a free, 30-minute discovery call. During this call, we’ll chat about your goals, challenges, and explore the best ways to move forward. Afterward, you’ll have a clear idea of which program fits your needs. There’s absolutely no pressure to commit—just a chance to connect and see how we can work together to achieve your wellness goals.

What are group coaching programs, and how do they work?
My group coaching programs are designed to help you achieve specific wellness goals, such as stress management, gut health, or overall lifestyle improvements. These programs typically run for a set period and include weekly group sessions, along with resources. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, receive guidance in a supportive group environment, and benefit from the accountability and collective wisdom that comes from sharing experiences with others.
